Cardiology Consultation

Available at our Calgary and Edmonton South locations, we offer full consultation with specialist cardiology (heart) physicians. Cardiovascular consultation is the first step to successful cardiac care and the most important aspect of medical treatment.

It's an opportunity for patients to discuss their cardiac problems and current complaints, as well as understand the risks and complications. A risk assessment will be completed and suggestions to help modify your risk factors will be given. This visit will also help you to understand the various treatment methods and tests that may be ordered.

During the cardiac consultation, past medical history, physical examination and tests to assess the risk of developing heart diseases will be discussed. Early diagnosis may give a better prognosis and minimize complications.

How to prepare for the consultation:

Carry all necessary medical records to avoid repetition of diagnostic testing.
Discuss your medical history, surgical history, family history and medications you are taking.
Discuss your lifestyle habits, dietary habits and your profession as your lifestyle and nature of the job may be associated with risk for cardiac diseases.

Internal Medicine Consultation

Available in certain locations, we offer internal medicine consultations with a specialist. This service is useful when there may be single disease issues other than the heart, or for when there are combined disease issues.
